Wantilan Luau family-friendly luau and dinner show returns to Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando Resort each Saturday at 6 p.m., starting July 2, 2022.
After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the island-style party will once again welcome guests with heart-pounding drums, traditional chants, and live performances, plus a Polynesian-inspired buffet.
The event will take place in a covered outdoor pavilion each Saturday evening, offering a captivating look at Polynesian culture. Enjoy the enchantments of Hawaii, the Nafa drums of Tonga, Tahiti’s traditional hip shaking dances, and the flaming art of Samoa’s fire dancing warriors.
A buffet dinner will be served up during the show, featuring traditional pit-roasted suckling pig, Hawaiian chicken teriyaki, catch of the day, lomi lomi chicken salad, macadamia-crusted goat cheese with kimchee and mushrooms, Ahi poke salad, fire-grilled beef, island-spiced vegetable medley, toasted coconut jasmine rice, bread, and rolls, plus a dessert selection of pineapple macadamia tarts, passion fruit crème brûlée, and tropical fruit with white chocolate mousse shots.
A separate kid-friendly buffet includes pizza, chicken fingers, mac and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, salad, and fruit.
Guests ages 21 and up can imbibe in beer, wine, and mai tais.
While enjoying their feast, guests will also witness hula dancers and a fire knife dancer, set to music evocative of the islands.
“We are delighted to offer this incredible event again to our resort guests, as well as Central Florida residents,” said Larry Beiderman, managing director. “Every luau is a party, and we are thrilled to have many guests come to celebrate birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, and other special moments with us.”
Tickets to the Wantilan Luau start at $89 for adults and $39 for ages three to nine, with ages three and under free. Regular and premium seating options are available.
