The highlight of the hilarious Hyperspace Hoopla that concludes each day of Star Wars Weekends is the Dance Off with the Star Wars Stars. You’ll see the Star Wars characters as you’ve never seen them before – getting down to the latest songs, and hits from a past era.
Today was the opening day for Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Crowds were lined up early this morning to get their exclusive merchandise and Fastpasses to meet the visiting celebrities. The Star Wars celebrities joined characters from the entire Star Wars saga in a grand motorcade at 11:40 a.m.
Star Wars Weekends is starting and some of the most popular Star Wars characters are headed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Star Wars weekends runs each Friday, Saturday and Sunday through June 13, 2010. More than 50 Star Wars characters will roam the streets for meet and greets and photo opportunities. The Disney Parks Blog recently posted the above photo of Jedi Mickey and his new droid, R2-MK. I guess MK stands for Magic Kingdom, but that’s not where you’ll find this Star Wars duo. They’ll be making appearances during Star Wars Weekends at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which begin this Friday, May 21, 2010.
For this month’s edition of Retro Orlando, we take a look at Delta Dreamflight, which used to be where Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is now at the Magic Kingdom.
Disney acquired the Power Rangers back in 2001, and now they’ve sold them back to the original owner, Haim Saban. The show has now been licensed to Nickelodeon, and new episodes will debut in the first quarter of 2011. The Nicktoons channel will also begin running reruns of the show. So what’s this mean for the meet and greet with the Rangers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Their days are numbered.
