On Monday, Nov. 18, a collection of historical amusement park artifacts will go up for auction at Gray’s Auctioneers in Cleveland, Ohio – pieces from the Cedar Point Town Hall Museum.

To make way for a new collection that will debut next year for the park’s 150th anniversary, 160 lots of vintage arcade games, antique trains, fairground amusements, and locally relevant historical artifacts will be auctioned off.

This is the first phase of the park’s renovation of the Town Hall Museum, which will begin by removing all artifacts and displays. Anything specifically related to the history of Cedar Point is being kept, but all other artifacts will be sold.

One of the biggest pieces in the sale is an American-LaFrance steam fire pumper, built for the Greensboro, N.C. Fire Department in 1904. Guests might remember seeing it located in the back of Town Hall.

Steam-powered toy trains, coin-operated games, and other fairground amusements will be up for grabs as well, alongside arcade games and offerings from the latter half of the 20th century.

The auction will start at 11 a.m. in Gray’s showroom at 10717 Detroit Avenue in Cleveland. You can view the entire auction catalog now at GraysAuctioneers.com.
