Celebrate Friendsgiving at Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood

It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years since we met Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey, and Phoebe, and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood is celebrating the 30th anniversary of “Friends” with the return of the Friendsgiving tour focused on the iconic sitcom.

The special 90-minute “Friends”-themed Studio Tour allows fans to see props, costumes, and filming locations from memorable “Friends” episodes, including Stage 24 – dubbed the Friends Stage – where the show filmed seasons 2-10 (season 1 was filmed on Stage 5).

“They couldn’t use Stage 24 [for season 1] because it was being used by ‘Full House,’” explained Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood guide Zack. “But they wanted some of that ‘good luck sitcom energy’ so they went in there at the beginning of their second season in 1995 and stayed all the way until 2004 for their season 10.”

Some of the “Friends” filming locations on the Warner Bros. backlot include:

Brownstone Street, where Ross and Rachel kicked the light post after losing Marcel the monkey (Season 1, Episode 19 – The One Where the Monkey Gets Away)

The grass field behind the fountain where the Friendsgiving meal takes place is the spot where “Red Ross” played rugby with Emily’s English mates (Season 4; Episode 15 – The One with All the Rugby)

The “park” where Phoebe and Rachel go jogging (Season 6; Episode 7 – The One Where Phoebe Runs)

“The great thing about ‘Friends’ is that they used so much of our property to make our show possible – in fact they never went to New York to film anything with the cast,” Zack notes. “All of it was here at the Burbank property.”

NOTE: Since Warner Bros. is a working studio, the “Friends” filming locations visited on the tour can vary due to production.

Friendsgiving Meal

“Friends” fans are also treated to the exclusive Friendsgiving tour-only experience of enjoying a catered buffet Friendsgiving holiday meal at the iconic “Friends Fountain” on the Warner Bros. backlot (weather permitting).

“We’re thrilled to bring back Friendsgiving for fans to celebrate,” said Danny Kahn, Vice President & General Manager of Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood. “The show continues to touch the hearts of audiences worldwide, and we are excited to join in celebrating its 30th anniversary with this themed tour.”

A curated 30th-anniversary exhibit and photo op in the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood lobby (accessible without a tour ticket) showcases authentic costumes for each character (plus Joey’s Pat the Dog statue).

“Could we be any more excited about our special Friendsgiving celebration?” Kahn said. “For ten years thirty years ago, ‘Friends’ made their home at Warner Bros. and created this legendary iconic television series right on this lot – and I should know, I was the security guard on their stage the first year. Friendsgiving is all about togetherness and celebrating those moments of TV history that you love with your friends and family and that’s what this is all about.”

Warner Bros. Studios Tour Hollywood Friendsgiving tours are offered at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. on Nov. 16-17, 21-24, and 29-30, 2024. Tickets are $150 per person for guests age 5+ (Kids under 5 are not permitted on the tour; all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times).
