Whether you’re soon to be embarking on Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Xcel or are considering this ship for your next cruise, knowing what you can expect on each deck of the ship can help you to maximize the time on this Edge Series ship, which can accommodate up to 3,276 guests.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 2
There’s a lot of magic to be found on deck two, including the multi-purpose area, “Destination Getaway,” along with the Magic Carpet, which moves up and down on the side of the ship, offering casual seafood eats. If you need medical attention during your cruise (which hopefully you won’t), you can find the ship’s medical facility on this deck near the Forward elevators. It’s important to know that there are no staterooms on this deck.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 3
You might find yourself spending a lot of time on deck three as it is home to The Theatre and the Grand Plaza. As far as dining goes, Tuscan Restaurant and Normandie Restaurant can also be found on this deck. If you’re traveling with children, you can bring them to Camp At Sea. This deck also houses a variety of staterooms including those with ocean views as well as inside cabins.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 4
Deck four is another lively deck within which you can also find another level of The Theatre in addition to the Celebrity iLounge, at which you can purchase or learn more about Apple products including iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and MacBook Pro to name a few. If you’re looking for a place to socialize, head to The Club.
This deck also contains many eateries and restaurants including Le Grand Bistro, where you can expect to find some French-inspired cuisine, as well as signature restaurant Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud and Cafe al Bacio. Craft Social Bar, The Casino, Cosmopolitan Restaurant, and Cyprus Restaurant can be found towards the Aft part of the deck.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 5
The Celebrity Xcels’s Theatre also extends up to the ship’s deck five. If you’re looking for somewhere to spend time with your friends or family or a place to make some new friends, you can do so at The Annex, as it serves as a place where you can participate in some karaoke, participate in some sports simulations, and more.
If you’re in the mood to peruse some artwork, you can visit the Art Gallery before enjoying a meal at Fine Cut Steakhouse, Raw on 5, Blu (if you’re an AquaClass guest) or Magic Carpet. You can also visit the World Class Bar and The Bazaar (near the Forward portion of the ship), which is a new space where you can dine and socialize while enjoying various entertainment offerings.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 6
While The Bazaar extends up to the ship’s deck six, this deck is largely filled with staterooms and suite types, including the Magic Carpet Sky Suite, Prime Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda, Edge Stateroom with Infinite Veranda, Edge Single with Infinite Veranda, and Deluxe Porthole View with Veranda.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 7
Deck seven houses additional staterooms.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 8
You can find additional staterooms on deck eight.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 9
Deck nine houses and even more staterooms.

Deck 10 contains cruise staterooms.

Celebrity Xcel Deck 14
After a couple of decks filled with cruise staterooms, deck 14 has a lot to do. The Spa is located Forward of the ship in addition to the Solarium, fitness center, pool, and The Pool Club (and Pool Bar), and Mast Grill and Bar.
I can’t forget to mention the SEA Thermal Suites which you can enjoy after spending some time at the spa. If you want to refresh your style throughout your cruise, you can do so at the nearby barber. As you get toward the Aft of the ship, you’ll notice several casual dining options, including Il Secundo Bacio and Oceanview Cafe.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 15
While this might not be the busiest deck on the ship, you shouldn’t rule out deck 15. You’ll find The Retreat Lounge, fitness center, rooftop garden, and Sunset Bar on this deck. If you’re looking for beautiful views, you’ll find them here. This deck contains a couple of Edge Villas. You also shouldn’t miss the new Mediterranean restaurant, Bora, on this deck.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 16
Deck 16 is a relaxing area as it contains The Retreat Sundeck, Magic Carpet, Mast Bar, and Luminae at The Retreat, along with a couple of Edge Villas.
Celebrity Xcel Deck 17
Deck 17 is a smaller deck with The Retreat Sundeck and The Retreat Pool Bar as its highlights.
