Chef Morimoto to host $3000 whisky pairing diner at Disney Springs

Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will be hosting a $3,000 “Momokase,” his take on a seven-course omakase meal featuring rare Japanese whisky, at his Morimoto Asia restaurant in Disney Springs on Dec. 2 and Dec. 3, 2022.

The intimate affair will be personally prepared by Chef Morimoto with food courses paired to rare bottles from House of Suntory’s signature Yamazaki whisky collection.

This includes Yamazaki 55, in the bottle’s last appearance at the restaurant as the quantity is limited. “Only 200 bottles of the 55-year-old Yamasaki whisky were produced, so we are extremely fortunate to have a bottle at Morimoto Asia,” said Kyle Collins, marketing director at Patina Restaurant Group. “To experience an omakase tasting hosted by Chef Morimoto is a memorable experience, and we are honored that Chef will be hosting it here at Morimoto Asia.”

Other bottles being poured for the evening include Yamazaki 18, the Tsukuriwake Selection 2022 Yamazaki Limited Edition, Mizunara, Peated Oak, Puncheon, and Spanish Oak.
