Disney released this “glass slipper” design to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the classic princess film, which was first shown to American audiences on Feb. 15, 1950.

The rubber clogs feature Jibbitz charms of various Cinderella-themed icons, such as pearls, a clock, rhinestones, and an image of Cinderella herself. The Crocs are a metallic silvery-blue, and echo the design of Cinderella’s iconic glass slippers.

The Cinderella Crocs are based on the pre-existing Crocs high heel design called the Siren Clog, which includes a 3.5 inch heel and a platform base. They do not include the standard heel strap of other Crocs, however. “Cinderella” fans will have the opportunity to stand out in this new shoe design while still taking advantage of the utility and advantage of classic Crocs design.

“Cinderella” was Disney’s first feature-length single-story film release after World War II, and was the studio’s highest-grossing animated movie since the release of “Bambi.” It marked a turning point in the company’s success, as a failure in the box office for this particular film would likely have spelled the financial end for Walt Disney’s animation department.

It is currently unannounced whether these Crocs will make an appearance in Disney parks. However, merchandise releases like this have historically happened both in parks and online, so it would not be surprising for the Cinderella Crocs to hit the shelves in both places on Feb. 11.
