Coming soon, Disney MagicMobile service will turn your smartphone into a MagicBand
Guests will soon be able to use their phone like a MagicBand when visiting Walt Disney World Resort, thanks to the new Disney MagicMobile service.
Launching in phases starting later this year, Disney MagicMobile is a contactless way to utilize MagicBand features, like theme park entry, through your iPhone, Apple Watch, or other smart device.
Guests will be able to create their MagicMobile pass through the My Disney Experience app and add it to their smart device’s digital wallet. More features will be available just by holding up your device near a MagicBand touch point. This new service will roll out first on Apple devices.
Guests will be able to choose from Disney MagicMobile or a MagicBand, whichever works best for them. There will also be an option to use both and alternate between the two. More MagicBands in new colors and designs will also be coming soon.
There will also be design styles for the virtual Disney MagicMobile cards. The designs will be based on the parks, Disney food items and characters.
The existing digital room key feature will continue to be available specifically in the My Disney Experience app. Guests will also still be able to pick up a Key to the World card at their convenience by visiting the front desk of their resort.
