D23 member events in 2024 include ‘Princess and the Frog’ party
D23: The Official Disney Fan Club celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2024, hosting D23 member events all year long — including a soiree honoring “The Princess and the Frog” in New Orleans and the event formerly known as D23 Expo in Anaheim.
15 years ago, Disney kicked off 2009 by teasing a mysterious question, “Are you 23?” The company presented the phrase with no additional context both online and within the parks, finally revealing D23: The Official Disney Fan Club on March 10, 2009.
Here in 2024, D23 prepares to celebrate its 15th anniversary with D23 member events, from exclusive parties to film screenings.
D23 Member Events in 2024
The Official Walt Disney Studios Tour — Presented by D23 – On select dates in Burbank, Calif.
As offered in previous years, D23 presents a 2.5-hour walking tour of the Walt Disney Studios, including visits to the Walt Disney Archives, Walt Disney’s office, and other significant locations across the campus of the company’s global headquarters.
D23 releases ticket availability two months at a time. Purchase tickets for March or April 2024 tours here.
D23 Member Appreciation Month – Mar. 1-31, 2024
Downloads, discounts, and a sweepstakes will be available to D23 members throughout the month of March.

“Wish” Sing-Along Screening and Celebration on the Walt Disney Studios Lot – March 3, 2024, in Burbank, Calif.
D23 will host a screening of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ most recent film, “Wish,” along with photo-ops and family activities.

D23 15th Anniversary Celebration at Disney Springs – March 10, 2024, in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
D23 will celebrate its official 15th birthdate with a party at Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort.

D23 Down In New Orleans — Celebrating 15 Years of “The Princess and the Frog” – March 23, 2024, in New Orleans, La.
2024 not only marks the 15th anniversary of D23, but also that of “The Princess and the Frog,” which debuted in theaters on Dec. 11, 2009.
In honor of the occasion, D23 members can attend an exclusive celebration in the city the film takes place, New Orleans. The day-long event will include a screening of “The Princess and the Frog” and a private reception at the New Orleans Jazz Museum.

D23 Day at Angel Stadium – Aug. 4, 2024, in Anaheim, Calif.
As fans descend upon Anaheim for D23’s biggest event of the year, they can kick off the week with discounted tickets to watch the Los Angeles Angels play against the New York Mets at Angel Stadium.

D23 Kickoff Celebration – Aug. 8, 2024, in Anaheim, Calif.
The evening before D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the fan club will host D23 Kickoff Celebration at Disneyland Resort.

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event – Aug. 9-11, 2024, in Anaheim, Calif.
Formerly known as D23 Expo, this year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will showcase major announcements, behind-the-scenes presentations, opportunities to connect with other fans, and lots more.
The 2024 event will look significantly different from previous years. Disney will host “shopping, exhibits, panels, and presentations” at Anaheim Convention Center and “marquee shows” at Honda Center. Formerly, the entire D23 Expo event took place at Anaheim Convention Center only. Learn more about D23 Expo’s changes for 2024 in our previous story.

Looking Back on 15 Years of D23
Along with D23’s debut in 2009 came the inaugural D23 Expo. At the time, Walt Disney Imagineering was developing projects like Cars Land, Phantom Manor, and Aulani.
