After 15 years of print publication, “Disney twenty-three” — the magazine published by D23, the official Disney fan club — will go mostly digital. Starting in 2025, all D23 Gold-level memberships will include what Disney describes as a “visually stunning digital and interactive version” of “Disney twenty-three” quarterly rather than physical copies delivered by mail.
Members who prefer to read print issues of the D23 magazine will be able to purchase physical copies for an extra charge online via Disney Store. Disney has not mentioned pricing (though a limited selection of back issues are currently available online for $20 each).

The magazine’s switch to digital is part of a wider restructuring of D23 memberships that introduces a wider spectrum of plans, which start at $50 and all include digital magazine access. 2025’s slate of membership perks also includes first-time virtual seminars, comprised of both live panels and playbacks from previous D23 events. These changes follow 2024’s major rebrand of the biennial D23 Expo convention becoming D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, expanding with arena presentations in addition to its usual convention center offerings.
“Disney twenty-three” magazine launched alongside D23 itself in March 2009, the culmination of a guerrilla marketing campaign that had mysteriously teased the question, “Are you 23?” before the official reveal of the fan club and magazine.

Prior to D23’s launch, Disney published Disney Magazine quarterly from 1996-2005 and the kids-focused Disney Adventures monthly from 1990-2007.

A sad end to what was a fairly nice publication and ‘club’. Disney cancelled my Charter Member recently for no reason other than to say my credit card was no good; which is wasn’t and still is up-to-date but they cancelled anyway without any warning or notice. I’ve lost “Charter” status and it can’t be reinstated according to Disney. I called within hours of the e-mail, literally, with no success. It was posted at 4am.
As a Disney Fan for over 50+ years this is disappointing and my last connection with them. Their no longer worthy of my the time, day or money. There is no redeminable value for the money for what D23 is now offering moving forward in April 2025.
