D23: The Official Disney Fan Club announced its biggest headliner events for 2022

D23 Expo 2022 takes place from September 9-11, 2022, kicking off a celebration of The Walt Disney Company’s “100 years of wonder” with Disney Legends Awards and sneak peeks at what’s on the horizon from Disney and Pixar animation, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and more.

As The Walt Disney Company enters its second century, a highly anticipated schedule of fan-focused events will take place in “Hall D23” at the Anaheim Convention Center.

D23 Expo 2022 events

September 9 – It all starts at 10:30 a.m. on Friday morning with a kick-off to the 100th anniversary celebration, dubbed Disney100.

Then, Disney CEO Bob Chapek hosts the headliner presentation, the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, honoring visionaries and artists who have been instrumental within the Disney legacy. Honoree’s names will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Walt Disney Studios will offer a 3:30 p.m. peak at what’s coming up from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, and Disney Live Action. New details will emerge, along with surprises and announcements. Studio heads, filmmakers, and cast members will be in attendance on stage, offering insights into the studios’ most exciting titles.

September 10 – Saturday morning’s 10 a.m. sneak peek gives fans a look at the latest offerings from Marvel and Lucasfilm as filmmakers, celebrities, and surprise guests join Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm representatives onstage. Fans will get behind-the-scenes insights and see exclusive footage while being among the first to hear about upcoming works.

The afternoon’s 3:30 p.m. event showcases Disney Branded Television’s upcoming shows, including “Doc McStuffins” and “The Owl House,” plus movie franchises such as “High School Musical” and “Descendants.” Fans will be treated to a look at the new Disney+ original series’, “National Treasure,” “American Born Chinese,” and “The Santa Clause.” Talent will make appearances, and the event will showcase never-before-seen previews of original Disney+, Disney Channel, and Disney Junior content.

September 11 – Fans will spend Sunday morning enjoying a preview of all that’s in store at Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products, starting at 10:30 a.m., then move on to a special afternoon presentation of “Disney Princess – The Concert.”

The morning’s presentation will feature Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman, Josh D’Amaro, plus surprises, announcements, and updates on what’s happening at Disney parks around the world and on Disney Cruise Line.

At 4:15 p.m. Disney Concerts will present a special performance of “Disney Princess – The Concert” featuring Susan Egan (Belle in the Broadway original “Beauty and the Beast” and Meg in Disney’s “Hercules”); Isabelle McCalla (Princess Jasmine in “Aladdin,” “The Prom”); Anneliese van der Pol from the Disney Channel (“That’s So Raven,” “Raven’s Home,” and Belle in Broadway’s “Beauty and the Beast”); Syndee Winters (Nala in Broadway’s “The Lion King,” “Hamilton”).

The cast will perform favorite Princess songs and tunes from the animated movie, “Frozen,” including classics such as “Part of Your World,” “Let It Go,” “A Whole New World,” “Colors of the Wind,” and “Almost There,” and will share insights from their time on stage and screen.

 All events are subject to change, and additional events will be announced in the coming weeks.

A limited number of single-day tickets for the events on September 9 and 10 are available at $99 per adult and $79 for children ages three-12.
