Dippin’ Dots and Doc Popcorn opening flagship store in New York City
Just off Madison Square Park, a co-branded Dippin’ Dots and Doc Popcorn flagship store will be opening in early April. Local 25-year-old businessman Neil Hershman is in charge of 16 frozen yogurt shops in New York City, and will now expand his dessert empire to the flash-frozen ice cream world.
“I grew up like many others eating Dippin’ Dots exclusively at an amusement park or sports game,” Hershman said. “I wanted to bring that same experience to the millions of young adults and families traveling through Manhattan daily.”
Adding Doc Popcorn to the mix was a ‘no brainer’ to the entrepreneur.
“I love the boutique-style, high quality popcorn and believe the new brand has big potential in New York if it can attract the loyal daytime customer looking for a healthy snack alternative,” he said.
The dual-concept store will bring sweet and savory flavors to Central Downtown Manhattan. Traditional Dippin’ Dots flavors like Rainbow Ice, Cookies and Cream and Banana Split will be offered as well as Doc Popcorn’s Better Butter and Caramel Bliss.
