Adventure Island water park in Tampa opens for the 2021 season on March 6, offering safe Spring Break fun for the whole family, with limited-time ticket discounts.

Adventure Island, the sister park to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, is the family-friendly choice for fun in the sun, with a massive wave pool, lazy river, kids’ splash playground, and eight thrilling water slides, including the new Solar Vortex, North America’s first dual tailspin water slide.

Whether you’re looking for the adrenaline rush of Solar Vortex family raft slide’s high-banking rotations and rapid descent, or a languid float around the lazy river, or simply time spent basking in lush, tropical surroundings, Adventure Island has something for everyone.

Neal Thurman, president and general manager for Busch Gardens and Adventure Island, says, “We are thrilled to offer a limited-capacity environment where Florida families can enjoy an outdoor, open air experience together, especially for the spring break season.”

Along with water-based attractions, the park features six casual dining outlets. But weekends from now through April 5 also offer a tempting reason to pay a visit to Tampa’s premier theme park, less than a mile away.

“In addition to our water park reopening, our Food & Wine Festival is underway across the street at Busch Gardens,” Thurman says. “Combined with world class coasters and fascinating animal habitats, [the two parks] offer Florida families a spring break staycation with something exciting for everyone.”

Adventure Island tickets can be purchased online at a 30% savings, or opt for the Adventure Island Fun Card annual pass, now offered for the price of a regular ticket. For a limited time, those who purchase the Busch Gardens Fun Card, with access to the theme park all year, will receive an Adventure Island Fun Card for free.

To help ensure a safe, healthy experience for all, temperature checks will be required at Adventure Island, as will face coverings for ages 2 and up in areas including park entrance and exit, and retail and dining areas (not in the wave pool, lazy river, water slides, or other water attractions). Capacity will be strictly limited to allow for social distancing.

Reservations for water park entry are also required, and can be made on AdventureIsland.com.
