What Exactly Does a Disney Car Look Like?

The IONIQ 5 Disney Platinum Edition will be a limited make of 1,000 units. Hyundai partnered with Walt Disney Imagineering for the design.

The Disney-infused design elements are semi-subtle. This won’t be a Mickey Mouse equivalent of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. Instead, the car will include features like Disney-inspired wheel styles and Disney100 platinum exterior badging.

When the driver turns the car on, a Disney-themed intro will appear on the interior screen.

The Disney100 logo will be embossed on the front seat headrests, center console, and floor mats.

Mouse-ear silhouettes will be part of the design on the front and rear door trim strip.

Hyundai took part in “Dancing with the Stars” on Oct. 17, 2023 as the IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum Edition was center stage during the program’s annual Disney night.

A video sequence at the top of the episode showed the Disney car traveling through the night sky. Along the way, animated characters like Tinker Bell, Jasmine, and Asha from “Wish” interacted with passengers.

As the video arrived on the heels of the new short film “Once Upon a Studio,” it’s been a full week for Disney animated crossovers.

The evening’s proceedings included many familiar Disney tunes. Musician Jason Mraz and dance partner Daniella Karagach selected “A Whole New World” from “Aladdin” as their song. Actor Xochitl Gomez — America Chavez in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” — and dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy performed to the tune of “Un Poco Loco” from “Coco.” All the contestants danced together to “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from “Encanto.”

The full episode is available for playback on Disney+ and Hulu. Individual performances are available on the “Dancing with the Stars” YouTube channel.
