Disney Cruise Line Silver Anniversary at Sea features new fireworks and exclusive gift
Late last year, Disney Cruise Line announced “special surprises” to celebrate their 25th anniversary of operations, including Captains Minnie and Mickey Mouse sporting new costumes for the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” sailings in 2023, but now Disney shared more details of the festivities including a brand-new fireworks show at sea as well as a special gift for all returning Castaway Club cruisers.

Disney was one of the first cruise lines to offer a fireworks show at sea, and this new pyrotechnic spectacular will be set to the songbook of classic Disney music from their films and theme parks. The previously announced signature song for the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” will serve as the anchor of this new 25th-anniversary fireworks at sea show, which will take place on most Bahamian, Caribbean, and Mediterranean cruises in summer 2023.
Speaking of the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” theme song, passengers will also hear a rendition of the tune during a special evening atrium gathering. On one evening each cruise, the ship’s captain and cruise director will gather with guests (as well as Mickey and Minnie in their festive attire) for a toast to Disney Cruise Line’s 25th anniversary.

All returning Disney Cruise Line passengers become part of the Castaway Club (their loyalty/rewards program), and Castaway Club members on board for the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” will receive a special gift of a limited edition framed 11×14 art print in their stateroom (while supplies last). The artwork was created by artist Joe Kaminski, whose work is featured in The Art of Disney stores, Disney resort hotels, and Disney Cruise Line ship galleries.
