Disney Dining Promo Card unveiled for up to $750 discount this summer
Most things have returned to their previous status at Walt Disney World since the theme park resort closed in March 2020. However, the “Disney Dining Plan” had not returned yet. But today, Walt Disney World Resort released a new “Disney Dining Promo Card” offer with select vacation packages for some of summer 2023.
The Disney Dining Promo Card will be available with vacation packages with select hotel stays between June 25 and Sept. 14, 2023. According to Disney’s website, with the purchase of a five-night, four-day non-discounted room and ticket package at select Walt Disney World Resorts, guests can get up to a $750 Disney Dining Promo Card. This card can be used to purchase food and beverage items at participating locations at Walt Disney World Resort.
Guests will receive the dining promo card via email after check-in at their resort. The card must be presented when used at participating locations like most gift cards. Guests can add this digital card to their digital wallets to use at select locations. They may also use the promo dining card for qualifying mobile orders.

Walt Disney World advises that guests check the location accepts these cards before they dine or purchase items with the dining promo card. Guests may also need advance dining reservations for many table-service dining options. Several locations on Walt Disney World Properties are excluded from this promotion.
According to Walt Disney World, the following locations cannot accept the promo dining card:
• Merchandise locations and candy kitchens
• Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, and Walt Disney World Swan Reserve Hotel
• Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort
•Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels
• Walt Disney World Official Hotels at Bonnet Creek
• Walt Disney World Gateway Hotels
However, Walt Disney World also states that some other food and beverage options not listed may also be excluded. Once again, guests should check with the restaurant beforehand to confirm.
The value of the dining card directly relates to the number of nights staying and is not per person. The maximum value for the dining promo cars for all dates will be $750. In addition, the gift card amount depends on your level of resort hotel and your check-in date. In addition, the language on the Walt Disney World website indicates this offer applies for “Most nights.” Thus, this dining card promo may not be available on nights some guests desire to stay during this promotional period.
For example:
June 25-30 and July 11-31, guests receive $35 per night for Value resorts; $75 per night for Moderate resorts and Cabins;$125 per night for Deluxe resorts and Disney Deluxe Villas
July 1-10 & August 1- September 14 they get $50 per night for Value resorts; $100 per night for Moderate resorts and Cabins; $150 per night for Deluxe resorts and Disney Deluxe Villas
The room and ticket package must be at a non-discounted rate to receive the promotional dining card. In other words, no other discounts are allowed on these vacation packages with the dining card.
The former Disney Dining Plan has yet to be sold since the theme parks closed in March 2020. Ironically, Walt Disney World created a Disney Dining Plan Plus in March 2022, right before the pandemic. In June 2021, Walt Disney World said they planned to bring back the Disney Dining Plan. Still, this promo card looks as close as guests can receive now.

The dining plan not yet returning doesn’t affect me one way or the other. My family never got the dining plan during past trips because you had to have the same dining plan for everyone in the group and we don’t all eat the same way every day. Personally I don’t care if the dining plan returns.
This would not encourage me to go to Disney at all. They are charging too much for rooms, tickets and food. They are making it impossible for families to enjoy Disney and to come back more than once in a lifetime. They have lost all magic! So sad 😞
