Celebrate Disney100 with new Disney Eras Collection merchandise
The Walt Disney Company is celebrating 100 years in 2023 with new shows, attractions, events, and new merchandise, including the Disney Eras collection series featuring Walt Disney Studios.
Debuting on Jan. 27, 2023, the Walt Disney Studios collection showcases nostalgic apparel, home decor, accessories, and more that highlight the iconic Walt Disney Studios.
Disney Eras Collection Launches with Walt Disney Studios
The Disney Parks Blog notes that the merchandise collection is a three-part series, with the first being The Walt Disney Studios collection that launched on Jan. 27 on shopDisney.com and at Disney Parks. A Disneyland-themed collection also launched at Disneyland Resort on Jan. 27, but will not come to shopDisney until Feb. 6, 2023. A surprise third collection has yet to be announced but is listed as “coming soon.”
What’s in the Disney Eras Collection?
In the first collection, the most prominent feature is the Walt Disney Studios logo, which appears on sweatshirts, hoodies, t-shirts, and bags. The logo is an homage to the original logo that appeared atop Disney’s Hyperion Studios in the 1920s and 1930s.
Ear headbands are always popular accessories, and this collection showcases a vintage-style clapboard topper with confetti-filled ears. The band of the headband also comes with an embroidered Walt Disney signature.
Walt Disney Studios Home Decor
Home items in the collection include a Walt Disney Studios Water Tower Lamp, a Mickey Mouse and Friends throw pillow, and a mug featuring the artwork that was used on Walt Disney’s business card, dating back to Walt’s days as a cartoonist in Kansas City, creating “Laugh-o-Grams.”
Disneyland Resort Disney Eras Collection
Disneyland visitors will get first dibs on the second collection explicitly dedicated to Disneyland Resort. The collection will be available online on Feb. 6, 2023, and includes shirts and hoodies featuring vintage artwork pay homage to “Walt Disney’s Disneyland,” a former television show on ABC.
Additionally, a new Minnie Mouse Ear Headband for adults, featuring a platinum bow and printed ears featuring Disneyland Resort attraction icons, is available at Disneyland and will be online on Feb. 6.
Finally, two coin purses feature a vintage TV with “Walt Disney’s Disneyland” stamped on the front, and another is made to look like a Disneyland main gate admission ticket.
