What’s coming to Disneyland for the Disney100 celebration?
Disneyland Resort is kicking off the Disney100 anniversary celebrations on Jan. 27, 2023, and guests of all ages will be able to celebrate throughout the year with new experiences and entertainment.
New Shows to Celebrate Disney100
Wondrous Journeys will be a new nighttime spectacular at Disneyland park with nods to all 60 Disney animated movies, including Hercules, Moana, Peter Pan, Treasure Planet, Encanto, and more. This show will also feature a brand new song, and will use projections and lights to tell a story of animation coming to life. Baymax even shows up to fly above Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. Wondrous Journeys debuts on Jan. 27, 2023.
World of Color – One will also debut Jan. 27, 2023, at Disney California Adventure Park. This new water and projection show will feature characters, music, and moments from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, the Avengers, and Star Wars in the same production.
The virtual queue for for World of Color – One viewing will be available via the Disneyland app. Guests who have entered California Adventure with a one-park ticket (or have entered Disneyland with a park hopper) can access the virtual queue on the Disneyland app at 12 p.m. PT daily.
Mickey’s Toontown
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway opens on Jan. 27, 2023. This family-friendly ride inside the all-new El CapiTOON Theater features Mickey and friends, with Goofy as the train conductor.
This attraction will not have a standby queue. Guests who have entered Disneyland with a one-park ticket (or have entered California Adventure with a park hopper ticket) can access the virtual queue through the Disneyland app at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. PT. daily. A Lightening Lane pass can also be purchased. Both are subject to availability.
The reimagined Mickey’s Toontown will reopen March 8, 2023, at Disneyland park. This will be the home of the new Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway ride, as well as grassy play areas, Goofy’s How-To-Play yard, Donald Duck’s pond, Chip ‘n’ Dale’s GADGETcoaster, and more.
Other Disneyland Resort Offerings for Disney100
- The Magic Happens daytime parade will be returning Feb. 24, 2023, featuring both classic Disney characters and some Pixar favorites.
- New platinum-infused decor will be found throughout Disneyland Resort, including includes medallions, banners, and statues.
- Magic Band+ will be offering new features later this year to celebrate Disney100.

- A Hundred Years of Wonder is a new exhibit on Main Street at Disneyland park that pays tribute to both Disney films that became Disneyland Resort attractions and park experiences that later inspired Disney films. This exhibit will also include original artwork created by original Disney animators.
