The Disney100 Celebration at Disneyland Resort starts on Jan. 27, 2023. Part of this celebration is the debut of “World of Color – One” at Disney California Adventure park, and Disney announced that a virtual queue will be utilized for guests to view the new nighttime spectacular.
“World of Color – One” celebrates how a single action, like a drop of water, creates a ripple that can grow into a wave of change. The show involves songs and stories of courageous and inspiring characters, the first Disneyland Resort nighttime spectacular to feature characters, music, and moments from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, the Avengers, and Star Wars in the same production.
A complimentary virtual queue system for “World of Color – One” will be available only via the Disneyland app. Each day, distribution will begin at noon (subject to availability). Only guests who have entered Disney California Adventure park for the day or have entered Disneyland park with tickets that allow them to park-hop later are eligible for the virtual queue system.
On evenings when multiple showtimes are scheduled, the distribution of additional showtime virtual queue selections begins immediately after issuance for the first showtime has ended.
Once guests have secured a virtual queue selection, they can enter their designated viewing area (blue or yellow) 30-45 minutes before showtime. If the virtual queue reaches capacity, guests can check with a cast member at the Paradise Bay viewing area shortly before “World of Color – One” begins for walk-up viewing options; however, Disney strongly suggests utilizing the virtual queue system due to limited viewing space.
For more information about the virtual queue system, please consult the Disneyland website.
Disney Parks released a sneak peek video of this nighttime spectacular for guests to preview.
The Disney100 celebration at Disneyland Resort will also include another special limited-time nighttime spectacular, “Wondrous Journeys” created by Disney Live Entertainment and debuting on Jan. 27, 2023 at Disneyland Park.
This all-new projection and fireworks show will celebrate 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios with nods to every film released by the studio over the past century. The spectacular will also feature an original new song, “It’s Wondrous.”
