Disney Genie launching Oct. 19 at Disney World, price and attraction details released

Disney Genie, Disney Genie+, and individual Lightning Lane purchases are launching on the My Disney Experience app at Walt Disney World on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021. Although we have already known about the Genie service and what it will do, we didn’t know exactly which attractions will be a part of it or the prices for the separate Lightning Lane skip the line passes — until now.

Disney Genie is a complimentary service that is designed to personalize your daily itinerary based on personal preferences. Guests will be able to plug in their interests, such as specific attractions or general favorites, and Genie will do the planning for you. In an effort to maximize time, Disney Genie will show current and forecasted wait times so you can better choose when to visit an attraction. It will also help tel you the best times to make dining reservations, mobile order food.

For guests who want more than planning, there’s Disney Genie+, a paid service that will allow guests to choose arrival times for a number of attractions and experiences via the app. Upon arrival, guests will receive expedited entrance to the attraction via the Lightning Lane (former FastPass line). Disney Genie+ is $15 per day at Walt Disney World and $20 per day at Disneyland Resort. The service at Walt Disney World comes with some fun video and photo filters and short audio tours, and Disneyland’s comes with free PhotoPass photos.

In addition to Genie+, two attractions at each theme park, not included in Genie+, will offer individual Lightning Lane passes. At launch, each attraction will be priced between $7 and $15. Prices may change day to day, but they won’t change during a day. Here’s a list of all of these attractions:

  1. Talked about price for Genie+ at Disneyland but only listed the WDW attractions. Also, I can guess which ones are extra $$ for Lightning Lane but would’ve been helpful to list them in the article too. Thanks.
