Disneyland celebrates ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ at Avengers Campus
Disneyland Resort will celebrate “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” from Nov. 11, 2022-Jan. 8, 2023, with special offerings at Avengers Campus in California Adventure and an art installation in Downtown Disney District.
The limited-time experiences will showcase the sights, sounds, and flavors of Wakanda, including the Black Panther Celebration Garden near the Collector’s Fortress, which honors the legacy of the Black Panther. In Avengers Campus, guests may encounter the next warrior to take on the legendary mantle of the Black Panther, as well as M’Baku, who invites recruits to join in the all-new “The Way of the Jabari” experience.
In the Hollywood Backlot, the Flavors of Wakanda marketplace will serve traditional African dishes like Peri-Peri Chicken with yellow Jollof rice, the Butterfly Pea Tea Lemonade, the Dawa beverage (vodka, lemonade, honey, ginger beer, and butterfly pea tea), and Maafe, a ground peanut stew with sweet potatoes, tomatoes, black-eyed peas, and spices, served with naan.
Plus, the Wakandan roasted pork wrap will be available at Shawarma Palace and Shawarma Palace Too, and Shuri’s gauntlet will be at select locations.
Super Store Featuring Avengers Campus in Hollywood Land will also showcase props and costumes from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” and other Black Panther-themed gear. In the Downtown Disney District, guests can see a new mural created by Nikkolas Smith, the artist who created the iconic art installation “King Chad” that paid tribute to Disney Legend, the late Chadwick Boseman.
