Disneyland Monorail resuming operation Oct. 15

The “highway in the sky,” the Disneyland Monorail at Disneyland Resort is returning this weekend!

The monorail will officially return to daily operation on Friday, Oct. 15 as part of the phased reopening of the Disneyland Resort.

The Disneyland Monorail has been a beloved attraction for decades, ever since it debuted at Disneyland in 1959. At the time, it was the first daily operating monorail in the Western Hemisphere.

There are two locations to board the monorail: one station is located in the Downtown Disney District, and the other is in Tomorrowland at Disneyland park. If you ‘re staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels, you can bypass the main entrance and ride your way straight into Disneyland park!

If you do decide to board from Downtown Disney, remember to have your valid ticket and theme park reservation ready, since this will serve as your official entry into the park.

A face covering will be required to ride the monorail, since it is an enclosed vehicle.
