‘Adventure Thru the Walt Disney Archives’ documentary coming to Disney+

A new documentary exploring the massive collection of the Walt Disney Archives is coming this fall to Disney+.

The documentary, “Adventure Thru the Walt Disney Archives,” originally premiered in June 2020 exclusively for D23 Gold Members in celebration of the Archives’ 50th anniversary.

The film looks at beloved Disney icons, including the theme parks and Studio lot, through a historical lens. Hosted by legendary producer Don Hahn, viewers will see Archives director Becky Cline and other members of the Archives team as they examine some of the artifacts that have played a role in shaping The Walt Disney Company. The documentary is directed by John Gleim, and features new interviews with Disney Executive Chairman Bob Iger, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige, Pixar’s Pete Docter, film historian Leonard Maltin, and more.

“Adventure Thru the Walt Disney Archives” will debut on Disney+ on Nov. 19. Check out the trailer below:
