Dollywood is celebrating a Star-Spangled Summer as part of its current Summer Celebration, running now through Aug. 5. This seasonal event features extended park hours, along with nightly fireworks and a number of patriotic events to celebrate family, fun and freedom.
On Thursdays this July, Dollywood and WIVK are teaming up to present “America’s New Faces of Country,” a concert series featuring several rising country music stars. This concert series gives guests a chance to see these country music hopefuls as they make their way up the charts.
At Dollywood’s shows during the Star-Spangled Summer event, the park will recognize service members in the audience for their dedication to our country. In addition, many of those same shows will include patriotic songs to get audiences in the spirit of the holiday.
During Star-Spangled Summer, guests will be able to meet one of America’s symbols of freedom, the bald eagle, thanks to the American Eagle Foundation (AEF). On select days this month, staff members from the AEF will host meet-and-greets with several of their featured bald eagles at the Plaza at Wilderness Pass.
During the day from July 7-21, guests can enjoy the talents of iLuminate, a show featuring dazzling lights and color through the use of glow-in-the-dark costumes, creating a combination of dance routines and illusions. At night, guess can enjoy a different kind of light show with Dolly’s Nights of Many Colors, a fireworks spectacular synchronized to music.
Guests can enjoy a variety of entertainment offerings throughout the park during their visit, as well as experience the park’s award-winning attractions and rides, like Wild Eagle, Thunderhead and Lightning Rod.
