Dr. Phillips Center announces Fairwinds Broadway in Orlando 2020/2021 season

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has announced the full Fairwinds Broadway in Orlando lineup for the 2020/2021 season, including “Hamilton,” “Hadestown,” and more.

To Kill A Mockingbird

Sept. 29 – Oct. 4, 2020 — Walt Disney Theater

See Academy Award-winner Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning classic.

Tootsie

Nov. 24-29, 2020 — Walt Disney Theater

“Tootsie” tells the story of Michael Dorsey, a talented yet difficult actor who struggles to find work until one show-stopping act of desperation nabs him the role of a lifetime.

Hadestown

Dec. 15-20, 2020 — Walt Disney Theater

Winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best Musical, this new show by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin weaves together the stories of Orpheus and Eurydice and Hades and Persephone.

The Band’s Visit

Jan. 5-10, 2021 — Walt Disney Theater

In this story, a band of musicians arrives in a town lost and out of the blue. Through their music, the band brings the town to life in unexpected ways.

The Prom

Feb. 16-21, 2021 — Walt Disney Theater

“The Prom” is a new musical comedy about big Broadway stars on a mission to change the world, and the love they discover that united them all.

Wicked

March 10-28, 2021 — Walt Disney Theater (Season Option)

The iconic “Wicked” returns to the Walt Disney Theater stage to tell the tale of a young, misunderstood woman with extraordinary talent and emerald-green skin.

Cats

April 20-25, 2021 — Walt Disney Theater

“Cats,” the record-breaking musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber is now on tour across America, telling the story of one magical night when a tribe of cats gather to choose which one of them will be reborn into a new life.

Hamilton

May 4-30, 2021 — Walt Disney Theater (Season Add-On)

“Hamilton” takes the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and spins it with hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, all coming together in the smash-hit show created by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

The Cher Show

June 15-20, 2021 — Walt Disney Theater

“The Cher Show” is the Tony Award-winning musical that tells the story of the pop icon, cramming so much of her story in it that it takes three women to play her.
