Efteling shares new drone footage of empty park in full bloom
Despite being temporarily closed, guests can now take a virtual flight through an empty Efteling — the fairytale theme park in the south of Holland — thanks to new drone footage.
The new drone footage and photos showcase what the park currently looks like with no guests, offering those at home the chance to experience the park virtually.
“Ordinarily, we welcome many visitors from all over Europe during Easter, but unfortunately this is not possible this year. It is very special to walk through the empty park now. With all its blooming flowers and plants, we don’t want to keep the enchantingly beautiful place that Efteling is just to ourselves,” said Fons Jurgens, CEO.
The drone video shows (in stylish, cinematic fashion) scenes from The Fairytale Forest like The Dragon and The Fairytale Tree, thrill rides like Python roller coaster and dive coaster Baron 1898, and the dark ride Fata Morgana.
The photos also show how spring has sprung at Efteling, putting a spotlight on 100,000 tulips and 30,000 spring flowers like violets and forget-me-nots, now in bloom.
This closure period is the first time the park has closed its doors since 2010, when it switched to being open 365 days a year.
