Elmo, Santa and Shamu will be a part of this years holiday celebrations at SeaWorld

SeaWorld in Orlando is set to begin their holiday celebrations with familiar holiday shows as well as new experiences. Events will take place Friday through Sunday nights Nov. 25 to Dec. 11. Starting Dec. 16 until Dec. 31 the holiday shows and specials will run each night inside the park.

“O Wondrous Night – The Greatest Story Never Told” is a new holiday show based upon the Christmas Story and told through the eyes of a variety of live animals. The production features 30 carols, a host of angels and animals exploring the true glory of Christmas.

The ice skating extravaganza “Winter Wonderland on Ice” combines ice skaters, water fountains, and fireworks into a Christmas themed show.

The night show “Shamu Christmas….Miracles” at Shamu Stadium gives audiences a chance to see the killer whales soar through the air while listening to seasonal music.

Even Clyde and Seamore, the sea lion duo, get into the holiday spirit with “Clyde and Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas”. The sea lions stop hunting for treasure and start searching for Santa with the help of an otter, an elf, and a walrus or two.

Elmo, Telly Monster and other Sesame Street friends teach Abby Cadabby what Christmas means to them in “A Sesame Street Christmas”. The musical celebration includes interactive sing-a-long songs.

The Wild Arctic attraction features “The Polar Express Experience”. The simulator ride takes passengers onto the Polar Express train for a ride to the North Pole. Santa Claus will greet and pose for pictures with passengers after their journey.

The Christmas Market located on Bayside Pathway features unique artisans and special holiday food items.

The “Sea of Trees” along SeaWorld’s Center Lake has been expanded this year to include 100 lighted trees that “dance” to holiday tunes.

A holiday finale “Holiday Reflections: Fireworks and Fountains Finale”, will include soaring fountains, holiday lights, and festive fireworks choreographed to a holiday soundtrack.

The “Makahiki Christmas Luau” is a special ticket dinner show that includes a holiday buffet and a Polynesian celebration of the season.

“Santa’s Fireside Feast” is another all you can eat special dinning option. Santa and Mrs. Claus will perform a classic holiday poem onstage while you dine.

As a special Christmas gift to guests SeaWorld is offering discounted admission. The SeaWorld Fun Card allows visitors to pay for one day admission and enjoy the park as many times as the want to until 2012. The Kids Free promotion invites every child into the park for free with each full paid adult ticket. The Kids Free offer is available until Dec. 25.
