Farewell to Batman on IMAX event tomorrow

Regal Cinemas Pointe Orlando Stadium will be holding a “Farewell to The Dark Knight in IMAX” event from 2 to 9 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 20.

The event will benefit the American Autism Alliance. During the festivities there will be a Batman bounce house, Batman and Joker appearances, free giveaways and raffles.

The IMAX replacement of the movie Eagle Eye will have a special midnight release on Thursday. Here’s a description of Eagle Eye:

Jerry Shaw (Shia LaBeouf) and Rachel Holloman (Michelle Monaghan) are two strangers thrown together by a mysterious phone call from a woman they have never met. Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations – using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. As the situation escalates, these two ordinary people become the country’s most wanted fugitives, who must work together to discover what is really happening – and more importantly, why.

The Pointe Orlando shopping center is located on International Drive. For more information, call 407-248-9228.

  1. Well, I missed it. Not that I probably would’ve gone anyway. Sounds like a great time, to support a great cause.

I saw this Batman movie on the IMAX, and it was phenomenal. I’m looking forward to seeing it on DVD when it’s released.
