The 32nd annual Downtown Disney Festival of the Masters started today and runs through Sunday. More than 160 artists are displaying their work along with some fun for the kids and a couple of places with good food.

Below are some photos I took this evening at the event.

They’re building an 8-foot-tall R2-D2 at the Lego store and kids are invited to help.

Outside of the Lego Store a fan group has some of their works of art on display.

Around different areas of the Marketplace you’ll find chalk artists and their fantastic work. It’s a shame some of this fabulous art isn’t permanent. The artists include members of the Central Florida Chalk Artists Association and high school art students.

Just outside the Basin store this artist was sculpting a Mickey made out of peppermint soap.

Kids and some adults were dancing along with a DJ on the Marketplace stage.

The coming soon T-Rex restaurant had a booth set-up, giving out free food samples. They also had some activities for the kids. A few other restaurants had booths set-up selling samples of their food, similar to the Food and Wine Festival kiosks.

If you’re more interested in the artists than the family activities, head to the West Side. That’s where almost all of the artists have their booths set up. Some of the neater displays, like those above, are too big to fit into a booth.
