A look at the performances for the 2014 Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration – Photos/Video
Disney’s annual Christmas Day special has been a tradition for families for 31 years, and this year the broadcast has a bit of a change as it celebrates “Frozen”.
The Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration is taped in advance of its airing on Dec. 25, Christmas Day, with the portions here at Walt Disney World filmed Dec. 6-9, 2014. We were there on the 8th to see some performances on the castle stage and have a recap below.

For those with audience tickets, the day starts early with admission to Magic Kingdom around 7 a.m. It does provide some beautiful sights of the Magic Kingdom at dawn.

For the castle performances, the audience is led to the castle stage to await the first performance.

Cast Member Mark Daniel helps warmup the crowds and get them ready to do lots of cheering.

During this filming day, the drizzle/light rain was on and off all day, which kept things pretty wet and delayed some performances.

With the drizzle and wind making things a little chilly, cast members were walking around selling hot chocolate to audience members.

The first performance was by Ariana Grande. She performed two songs, “Santa Tell Me” and “Last Christmas”.

Between performances, the crew moved props around and set up the stage in different ways.

Lexi Walker, from this hit “Let It Go cover”, performed the song with a middle school choir from Lake Nona, Fla.

The final performance of the day belonged to Prince Royce, singing “Feliz Navidad”.
There was supposed to also be a performance by Alex & Sierra, winners of season 3 of The X Factor, but the constant delays due to the rain pushed their performance to Dec. 9, which will also include the parade portion of the taping. Stay tuned to our blog for a look at that day’s events.
