First look at the new finale float for ‘Main Street Electrical Parade’

“Main Street Electrical Parade” will have a new grand finale float when it returns to Anaheim’s Disneyland park on April 22, 2022, in honor of the parade’s 50th anniversary.

The Disney Parks Blog has just released a new video giving a sneak peek into the all-new grand finale of the returning “Main Street Electrical Parade,” along with comments from the parade’s show directors.

Themed to the concept of “togetherness,” the parade’s newest float is intended to inspire “a whole new generation of dreamers.”

The reimagined, limited-time parade continues its homage to the original “Main Street Electrical Parade,” and to Disney artist and Legend, Mary Blair, best known for the iconic “it’s a small world” attraction’s whimsical, child-like design.

Characters from more than a dozen Disney Animation and Pixar films will grace the parade floats in animated doll form, along with thousands of twinkling lights and a unique electro-synth-magnetic musical score.

Among the fan favorites are characters from “Encanto,” “Raya and the Last Dragon,” “The Jungle Book,” “Aladdin,” “Brave,” “Coco,” “Mulan,” and “The Princess and the Frog,” as well as characters from other beloved films.

Parade-specific merchandise will be arriving at the park soon, as will sweet and savory treats inspired by the parade.

The nighttime spectacular “World of Color” will return to Disney California Adventure Park, also on April 22.

“Disneyland Forever” nighttime fireworks spectacular will return to Disneyland park on April 22, and “Fantasmic” will return to the park on April 28.
