Fly nonstop from Orange County, Florida to Orange County, California on Breeze Airlines

Cross-country travelers between Orlando, Fla. and Southern California have a new, nonstop flight option with Breeze Airways beginning Feb. 16, 2023. Breeze will offer a daily direct flight from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Santa Ana, Calif. — and vice versa.

The new service is an enticing option for Orlando theme park fans wanting to check out California attractions such as Disneyland Resort, Knott’s Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, or Universal Studios Hollywood, all of which are within reasonable driving distance of John Wayne. The same goes for California locals looking for a nonstop flight for an epic visit to Orlando to enjoy Florida favorites like Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, or SeaWorld Orlando.

One-way Breeze fares between Orlando and Santa Ana begin at $119 for Tuesday or Thursday flights purchased by Nov. 15 and flown by May 16.

Breeze airline options

The new service is the 100th nonstop route for Breeze Airways, which launched in 2021 and calls itself “the seriously nice low-fare airline.”

“For years, we have envisioned having a flight from Orange County, Florida, to Orange County, California, and starting next year Breeze Airways will make it a reality,” said Kevin Thiabault, chief executive officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “This new flight will not only allow goods and services to have new nonstop access to the west coast, it will also open fantastic travel opportunities for Central Florida residents.”

“The addition of Orange County today marks our 34th destination nationally — and eighth from Orlando — as well as our 100th nonstop route overall,” said Tom Doxey, president of Breeze Airways. “I can’t think of a better way to commemorate this milestone than for the ‘nicest airline’ to connect two of the ‘happiest places on Earth.’”

Beginning in March, travelers can also fly Breeze nonstop from Orlando to Akron-Canton, Ohio; Tulsa, Okla.; Huntsville, Ala.; and Benton-Fayetteville, Ariz. These cities join the existing roster of Breeze’s nonstop flights from Orlando to Charleston, S.C.

Breeze also offers “BreezeThru” service, in which the plane makes one stop, but travelers don’t have to change planes. From Orlando, Breeze has “BreezeThru” flights to Hartford, Conn. Beginning Feb. 16, it will add Provo/Salt Lake City, Utah.
