Can Frontier’s GoWild Pass save theme park travelers money? Here’s the catch
Frontier Airlines has launched its 2026 summer GoWild! Pass for an introductory price of $199, promising access to unlimited flights through Sept. 30.

For theme park travelers, that headline price may sound like an easy way to book multiple getaways this summer. But the real value depends on where you want to go, how flexible your schedule is, and whether you understand the extra costs buried in the terms and conditions.
For travelers near Orlando International Airport, Frontier currently offers several confirmed nonstop routes that can connect visitors to major theme park destinations.
Confirmed Frontier routes with nearby theme parks
Las Vegas, Nevada
A nonstop route to Las Vegas can open access to attractions like Universal Horror Unleashed and Area15, or the classic Circus Circus, plus many other immersive entertainment venues throughout the Strip corridor.
While not a traditional destination theme park city, Las Vegas can be a strong short-trip option for travelers looking for indoor rides, unique experiences and entertainment.
Los Angeles, California
Frontier’s confirmed service to Los Angeles places travelers within reach of two of Southern California’s most popular parks.
- Universal Studios Hollywood
- Disneyland Resort (ground transportation required from LAX)
This route may offer one of the strongest values for park fans hoping to visit multiple major attractions in one trip.
Southern California is one of our top picks for summer vacation spots this year.

Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
Flights to the Dallas area can provide access to Six Flags Over Texas, located in Arlington between Dallas and Fort Worth. This can be a practical weekend option for coaster enthusiasts and Six Flags fans.
By the way, this Frontier airlines destination is also near a new theme park destination for young families: Frisco, Texas, which is home to Peppa Pig Theme Park and the upcoming Universal Kids Theme Park.
Frisco is north of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, which is the major airport Frontier typically uses in the area: Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
Approximate Distance
- Distance: about 25–30 miles
- Typical drive time: 30 to 45 minutes
- Rush hour: often 45 to 75+ minutes

Chicago, Illinois
A confirmed route to the Chicago area puts travelers within driving distance of Six Flags Great America, which is one of our top picks for America’s 250th anniversary celebrations. While not directly adjacent to the airport, the route may appeal to thrill-seekers willing to rent a car.
Frontier has historically served both Chicago-area airports at different times, including Chicago Midway International Airport on some routes in past years, so schedules can change seasonally. But the currently referenced Orlando service is O’Hare (ORD).

San Antonio, Texas
New Frontier service to San Antonio gives park fans access to two major parks:
- SeaWorld San Antonio
- Six Flags Fiesta Texas
For theme park travelers, this may be one of the most efficient single-destination uses of the pass.
Salt Lake City, Utah
Frontier’s service to Salt Lake City offers access to Lagoon Amusement Park, one of the country’s longest-running amusement parks.
The hidden costs travelers should know
The $199 pass does not mean completely free flying.
According to Frontier’s published terms, travelers may still encounter:
- Taxes, fees, and carrier charges per flight segment
- Charges for checked bags and carry-on bags
- Seat selection fees
- Early booking fees on some itineraries
- Higher charges on peak travel dates
- Limited seat inventory for passholders
That means the real cost of a “cheap” trip can rise quickly depending on how you travel. A round-trip weekend getaway with bags and seat assignments may cost significantly more than the pass price alone.
Booking fee waived
GoWild Early Booking Fee is waived for any GoWild pass holder traveling through May 20, 2026; May 23-24, 2026; May 26 – June 10, 2026, and on segments departing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, June 16, 2026 – Sep. 8, 2026.
This is not the first time Frontier has offered a GoWild pass; we’ve seen it pop up mostly every summer for a few years now. One other important item is that domestic flights can be booked the day before departure, while international flights can be booked 10 days before departure.
Is it worth it for theme park fans?
For the right traveler, Frontier’s GoWild Pass could become a low-cost way to visit several parks in one season, especially from Orlando, where nonstop options reach multiple major destinations. A traveler who uses the pass for even two or three successful park trips could potentially come out ahead.
But for families or travelers with rigid schedules, standard airfare sales on full-service carriers may still offer a simpler and more predictable option.
Frontier’s GoWild Pass can save theme park travelers money, but only if they use it strategically.
