New updates on Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser shared at D23 Expo 2019

Exciting new details were shared on the upcoming Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel experience during the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products panel at D23 Expo 2019.

This one-of-a-kind Star Wars hotel at Walt Disney World will offer a two-night itinerary where all guests will arrive and depart together, like when traveling onboard the Disney Cruise Line. However, here you’ll become part of your own unique Star Wars story.

Guests will cruise through the galaxy aboard the Halcyon, stay in cabins, enjoy onboard dining, and a planet-side excursion to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu. You’ll be encouraged to interact with everyone around you, from the other guests, to characters and crew you meet along the way.

The journey begins when you check in for your two-night experience at the Galactic Starcruiser Terminal. There, you’ll be invited to enter a Launch Pod to be transported to the ship. Through windows overhead, guests will see the real world fade away as the pod jumps to hyperspace to reach the Halcyon.

When the Launch Pod docks at the Halcyon and the airlock opens, guests will walk onto the ship’s main deck atrium. A visit aboard the Halcyon will transform into a multi-day story that connects with members of the crew, other passengers, Star Wars characters, and a visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

This immersive stay also includes unique experiences, like wielding a lightsaber against a training remote, where you can discover your own connection to the Force. Guests can also visit the starcruiser’s bridge to learn about the ship’s systems and how to operate them, including navigation and defense – which just might prove useful during your stay.

While onboard, every window on the Halcyon will offer a view into space, and the vistas will change as the ship travels. Guests will be encouraged to explore the ship and find hidden areas deep within the mechanics of the ship, which could be perfect places to find hidden secrets or even secret meetings. Choices made during your stay will determine how your own Star Wars story progresses.
