Guests can build their own unique lightsabers in Savi’s Workshop.

Travelers who feel a connection to the Force will be able to craft their own elegant saber in Black Spire Outpost with a visit to Savi’s Workshop.

Those who seek out this hidden workshop will have a chance to meet the Gatherers, a group of men and women whose purpose is to pass on their knowledge of the Force and the ways of the Jedi. The Gatherers will be the ones who help travelers create their own unique lightsaber.

Savi was one of the original Gatherers and a friend of Lor San Tekka, who was briefly seen in the start of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”. Savi created a salvage business as a front in order to hide his goal of guiding the next generation of Force users by helping them create their own lightsabers.

Guests who wish to experience this unique offering will find a symbol displayed on the front of the workshop that will indicate they’re in the right place – and they will have to provide the “secret phrase” to the Gatherers to enter.

Once inside, guests will travel to the Builder’s Table at the center of the room – which can accommodate up to 14 builders at a time – to choose their kyber crystal and craft their lightsaber.

Guests can choose between four themes of lightsabers to build:

  • Peace and Justice – this theme features lightsaber pieces crafted for the Jedi Order of the Republic era.
  • Power and Control – this theme features pieces that were originally forged by the Sith of their time, collected from the ashes of the rumored Sith homeworld and their abandoned temples.
  • Elemental Nature – this theme features elements of nature, like wood from a Brylark tree, bone of a Cartusion whale, or even a tooth from a Rancor.
  • Protection and Defense – this theme represents the earliest lightsaber pieces, reconnecting the wielder with the most ancient aspects of the Force.
