When you’re in Orlando and don’t want to miss your Sunday worship, instead of seeking out a local church, head to the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues. Not only will you get a powerful message with great musical performances and food, but through November, you’ll get a little something extra.
Each Sunday through Nov. 28, Zatarain’s is hosting the southern-style Gospel Brunches at House of Blues. Zatarain’s is a New Orleans brand that’s been selling authentic New Orleans-style cuisine for 120 years. While the Gospel Brunch always offers great foods such as freshly sliced beef, fried catfish, potatoes, beans, salad, macaroni and cheese, waffles, omelets and many other options, Zatarain’s has set up a special jambalaya station.
The station features a chef who’ll make your jambalaya to order. You can choose between sausage, shrimp, chicken or crawfish (or all four), plus many vegetables and spices.
The music begins after everyone has had a chance to visit the buffet. There are a few different local gospel groups that perform at House of Blues. If you have a preference, you can ask who’s performing when you make reservations.
The Gospel Brunch is $33.50 and includes the all-you-can-eat buffet and gospel performance, coffee, tea and juice. The price for children (3-9) is $17.25. Children 2 and under are free. Seating times are 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. each Sunday.
House of Blues is located at Downtown Disney West Side. Reservations can be made by calling 407-934-BLUE.
