Get ready to play Villain-Con Minion Blast
Yesterday, we shared exciting new details about Minion Land coming this summer to Universal Orlando Resort, and today, we have new info to share about the land’s signature attraction, Villain-Con Minion Blast.
Located on Illumination Avenue in Universal Studios Florida, the new stand-up ride-through attraction (in the space formally occupied by Shrek 4-D) will be a one-of-a-kind, fully-immersive family-friendly gaming experience.
The attraction’s storyline sees guests heading to Villain-Con, the world’s largest convention for villains, conveniently taking place in Orlando (what are the odds?) In attendance are the supervillains from “Minions: The Rise of Gru,” the Vicious 6, who have organized a challenge at the convention to find their newest member.
As part of the “job interview,” candidates will pick up an E-Liminator X blaster – which they can customize – and step onto a moving walkway to cause as much destruction as possible to earn points and, of course, impress the members of Vicious 6, who they’ll encounter (as well as the Minions) along the way.
Villain-Con Minion Blast has no height requirement, so anyone can “apply for the job” (kids must stand independently). Players will also be able to track their progress on the app, so the competition is on to see who has what it takes to become the newest member of the Vicious 6 when Villain-Con hits town this summer.
