Mizner’s Lounge to undergo refurbishment at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Mizner’s Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is set to go through a refurbishment period over the next few months.

Mizner’s Lounge will close for the renovation period starting in April, where the lounge will be expanded. It’s expected to reopen sometime this fall.

In the meantime, guests can enjoy the temporary lounge, which will move to the first-floor lobby area next to the Garden View Tea Room. This pop-up location will offer cocktails and other beverages, as well as light bites from 4 p.m. – 12 a.m. Additional seating can be found in the Garden View Tea Room after 5 p.m. Disney’s Perfectly Princess Tea, Afternoon Tea, and other offerings in the tea room will not be affected during this time.

Guests visiting Disney’s Grand Floridian can also stop by Cítricos Lounge for even more cocktails, beverages, and appetizers. The Grand Floridian Society Orchestra will also be moving to a new location in the main lobby, where they will continue to play live jazz standards and Disney tunes for guests to enjoy.

As part of the refurbishment of Mizner’s Lounge, the lounge will expand into the area currently occupied by Commander Porter’s – which will permanently close at the end of the day on April 4, 2019. Guests looking for men’s apparel and other offerings that are currently found in Commander Porter’s can check out other merchandise locations at the resort hotel, where they will be temporarily available.

Construction will kick off at Summer Lace this April to transform the location to offer both Women’s and Men’s apparel. No closure of the shop is expected at this time.
