‘Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party’ returns, along with Disney’s ‘Halfway to Halloween’ celebration

“Halfway to Halloween” spooktacular invites Disney park guests to run amuck, amuck, amuck with the Sanderson Sisters from the movie, “Hocus Pocus,” and favorite event, “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party” makes its grand return!

Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, Disney parks in Tokyo, and Disney Cruise Line are getting into the Halloween spirit with specially themed food, beverages, and merchandise, plus the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, “Halloween on the High Seas,” and “Disney Halloween” in advance of the movie debut of “Hocus Pocus 2,” coming this fall.

The Sanderson Sisters have worked their magic, and there is more autumn fun in store as the fan-favorite annual event “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party” makes its return to the Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World on 37 select nights from August 12-October 31, 2022.

Disney villains will be on hand for spooky fun, as will the Haunted Mansion graveyard gravediggers and other event-exclusive entertainment.

As Walt Disney World celebrates its 50th anniversary, guests can enjoy event-exclusive step-in photo opportunities, and each will receive a Halloween-themed 50 Anniversary celebration commemorative print along with their reusable trick-or-treating tote bags.

Halfway to Halloween TikTok Live on April 28

Join the Disney Parks Blog as your ghost host in this first-of-its-kind TikTok Live, starting at 10 p.m. (7 p.m. PT). The event will cover multiple Disney parks, plus Disney Cruise Line, and will feature a new Sanderson Sisters-inspired look for all Disney Parks channels.

Get your spooky snacks ready for this watch party that features a Halloween film on Disney+. The live watch party takes place on DisneyParks Twitter, starting at 8 p.m. (5 p.m. PT).

The Oogie Boogie Bash is back!

Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party returns on select nights in 2022, and, at Disneyland park, Mickey and Minnie will show up in their new Halloween outfits.

Halloween takes to the seas

Disney Cruise Line guests can celebrate the season onboard specially themed “Halloween on the High Seas” cruises. Sailors will be the first to see Daisy Duck, Minnie Mouse, and Clarabelle Cow dressed up in their Sanderson Sisters costumes.

The cruise line’s newest ship, Disney Wish, will feature an all-new, magical Pumpkin Tree in the “Cinderella”-inspired Grand Hall.

The enchanted tree – named “Boo” – grows beautiful gourds with the help of a wishing star, and legend has it the tree’s most beautiful gourd became the carriage in which Cinderella made her way to the prince’s fateful ball.

Celebrate the spooky season as favorite Disney characters and park guests show off their costumes during the annual “Disney Halloween” event.

Dark Variant characters take over Avengers Campus

Meet and greet Dark Variant characters as they make their debut at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland Resort.

America Chavez from the movie “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” will appear at Avengers Campus, as will Scarlett Witch. Each will appear for a limited time, starting in May 2022.

Disneyland park and Walt Disney World are brewing up some wickedly delightful treats for the celebration. Try an autumn-inspired churro and a new cheddar pickle dog at Disneyland Resort, and dig into the A-Muck Cakes homage to the Sanderson Sisters at Walt Disney World, plus specialty tastes and sips such as Sisters Elixir Hot Cocoa Bomb at Disney Springs and the Spooky Churro at Disneyland Resort, starting April 28.

Take a “shriek peek” at Disney’s newest merchandise collection (coming to Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and shopDisney in August) themed to Silly Symphonies “Skeleton Dance.” Items include a crew neck, hooded sweatshirt, and zip up jacket.

Also watch for a “Hocus Pocus” mug or Corkcicle; Halloween Mickey and Friends Loungfly; light-up Mickey Mouse Pumpkin Bubble Wand, and much more.

Coming soon are the “Hocus Pocus Art of Coloring,” “The Hocus Pocus Spell Book,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas: Long Live the Pumpkin Queen,” and “Raising the Horsemen.”

Disney Channel brings the Halloween fun home

Halloween-themed programming and special “shout-outs” from the cast of “Hocus Pocus 2” and “Doctor Strange 2” will begin on April 28 and run throughout the weekend on the Disney Channel. A new “Goosebumps” series trailer will also be released, as will a DIY party guide for celebrating “Halfway to Halloween” at home.
