Tokyo DisneySea 20th: Time to Shine celebration remembers two decades of epic attractions, world-class entertainment, and one-of-a-kind experiences.
Since its opening in 2001, Tokyo DisneySea has been the only Disney theme park to bring the myths and legends of the sea to life, taking guests on voyages of adventure, romance, and discovery through captivating experiences, some found nowhere else in the world.
The 20th anniversary is the perfect time to shine a spotlight on fan-favorites, from rides and shows to exclusive food and beverage offerings.
Adventure-based Attractions
The thrill of discovery can be found throughout the park, in lands as diverse as Mediterranean Harbor, Port Discovery, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Mermaid Lagoon, and Mysterious Island.
Sinbad’s Storybook Voyage takes guests on a journey with Sinbad the sailor and his tiger companion Chandu, with a musical score that reminds voyagers the greatest adventures come from following “the compass of your heart.”
Journey to the Center of the Earth sets the stage for a thrilling subterranean encounter with Captain Nemo, who has discovered a mysterious world deep beneath the ground.
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea features another Captain Nemo exploration, this time aboard a submarine boat in search of the lost city of Atlantis, deep at the bottom of the ocean.
World-class Entertainment
Take in the sights and sounds of Tokyo DisneySea’s spectacular shows.
“Big Band Beat: A Special Treat!” is the park’s newest show, starring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their pals, performing to swing jazz tunes along with a cavalcade of dancers. Mickey Mouse even takes a turn on the drums!
“Song of Mirage” live stage show also features Mickey Mouse and his friends as they seek out the Rio Dorado city of gold. This whimsical story is filled with lighting effects and projection mapping.
Culinary Treats
From specialty popcorns to steamed buns and Yucatan sausage rolls, there are culinary delights to tempt everyone’s tastebuds.
Try unique popcorn flavors such as Milk Chocolate, Curry, Black Pepper, and Garlic Shrimp, and watch for souvenir-worthy popcorn buckets, including character-themed buckets featuring Steamboat Willy, Toy Story and Monsters Inc. friends, and Duffy the Bear.
Favorite dishes, from spicy sausage wrapped in dough to Ukiwaman steamed bun with shrimp paste filling, combine with all-new culinary offerings created especially for the 20th anniversary, such as scrumptious churros glittering with sugar.
Terrific Transportation
Guests can journey around the parks by land and by sea using transport that celebrates the pleasures of travel.
Venetian Gondolas make their leisurely way around the Venice-inspired Palazzo Canals, complete with their own gondoliers.
DisneySea Electric Railway offers an elevated electric trolley ride with a spectacular view over the harbor as it makes its way to Port Discovery.
DisneySea Transit Steamer Line waterway journey features the romance of steamer travel around the American Waterfront port, and is especially charming as the sun sets.
Tokyo DisneySea will have even more to explore as the park prepares for the arrival of an eighth port, Fantasy Springs. The new area will be themed to Disney movie hits “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “Peter Pan.”
