Halle Bailey, Princess Ariel, reads to kids at Easter Eggucation Roll
Halle Bailey, Princess Ariel, took a break from Hollywood and her under-the-sea duties to read to children as part of the White House’s Easter Eggucation event.
What else would you expect from a Disney Princess? Halle Bailey visited the White House to read two booksto children for Easter Eggucation: The Little Mermaid: Make a Splash by Ashley Franklin and Hair Love by Matthew A. Cherry.
In total, about 30,000 people attended this year’s Easter Eggucation Roll, including thousands of military and veteran families, caregivers, and survivors. Other famous characters were also present during the event, such as Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Bluey, Bingo, Dr. Seuss’ the Lorax, Charlie Brown, and Astronaut Snoopy.
I was given the unique opportunity to interview Bailey during the recent Disney Dreamers Academy event at Walt Disney World. She spoke about her upcoming film and how her family and friends support her in this busy and non-stop work period of her life. Bailey was chosen as the 2023 ambassador for this program, and was there to inspire young adults to pursue their dreams and passions.
Between this Easter Eggucation event, press moments, the Disney Dreamers Academy, and so much more, Bailey is certainly finding out what it takes to be in the spotlight as a Disney Princess. Speaking of Disney Princesses, Disney has already held auditions to feature Bailey’s likeness at the Walt Disney World theme parks.
