New Cirque du Soleil show coming to Hawaii in 2024

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group and Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel announced today that a new multi-year resident show exclusive to Hawaii is coming to Honolulu in 2024.

Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group produces world-renowned circus arts shows that incorporate acrobatics, music, dance, and projections. The venue for the new show is the nearly 800-seat 20,000 square-foot showroom at Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel, which will be updated with a state-of-the-art audio-visual system.

“This collaboration with Cirque was years in the making and perfectly aligns with Outrigger’s brand elevation strategy, which includes a promise to provide authentic live music and signature experiences in renowned beach locations,” said Outrigger Hospitality Group President and CEO Jeff Wagoner. “Cirque du Soleil is an iconic company at the apex of entertainment. We are confident that the show created for Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel will delight and astound our guests and residents.”

Expected to debut in December 2024, the new Cirque du Soleil show in Hawaii will combine the brand’s trademark innovation with the islands’ unique culture. As a result, native Hawaiian Aaron J. Salā, Ph.D., has been named creative cultural producer to assist Cirque du Soleil in creating the show’s storyline. The production team will also work with Hawaiian artists, musicians, and dancers.
