Harambe Marketplace now serving guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Harambe Marketplace animal kingdom

Guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom can now experience the colors, scents and activity of a village marketplace in Africa, plus relax with some refreshments.

The African Marketplace, a new shopping and dining option for park-goers in Harambe, the village anchoring the Africa section of the park, is now open. One highlight of the new space is the Harambe Market, a new quick-service food and beverage location offering street-inspired dishes from walk-up windows. Guests will be able to find plenty of shady places to relax and eat in the area.

The new space also opens up a new pathway from Africa to Bradley Falls and the Asia section of the park. Together with the new Harambe Theatre housing “The Festival of the Lion King,” the addition of Africa Marketplace doubles the size of the original Harambe Village.

Here’s a look around the new area:

  1. Oh dear, more shops and restaurants in a park that needs ride and Disney even sends a bloody “imagineer” to talk it up. Disapointing and sad that even the press is dancing like a little pony to sell this dung for a flower.
