Hersheypark opens for 2023 season with more days than ever

Hersheypark, in Hershey, Penn. kicks off its 117th year of operations on April 1, 2023, with eight spring weekends, new food and beverage options, and plenty of live entertainment.

This year, Hersheypark will be open every weekend from now until early September, more days than ever. Plus, a combination of earlier openings and later nights will create even more opportunities for fun.

The spring season at Hersheypark runs eight weekends from April 1 through May 21, 2023, as well as Friday, April 7, 2023, and every Friday throughout May. Daily summer operations begin May 25, 2023, with The Boardwalk At Hersheypark water park opening for the summer on May 27, 2023. Operating hours will vary by day and time of year. Hersheypark Coasters

During the eight weekends of spring fun at Hersheypark, guests can enjoy more than 50 family-friendly rides and thrilling coasters.

This year, the Great Bear coaster celebrates it’s 25 anniversary and the Fahrenheit coaster marking 15 years of operation with the 2023 season.

A new roller coaster also hits the Hersheypark scene this season as Wildcat’s Revenge opens for guests to enjoy this summer. This hybrid coaster increases the total number of coasters at Hersheypark to 15.

Photo Opportunities and Animal Viewing

Park admission also includes photo opportunities with Hershey characters at Hershey’s Hangout performance area across from the HPGO program stand and at Our Friends From The Sea shows with the seals and sea lions in the Aquatheatre inside Hersheypark.

Additionally, guests can see dozens of North American animals like black bears, gray wolves, river otters and Canada lynx at ZooAmerica. Entrance to ZooAmerica is included with Hersheypark admission.

New Spring Food and Beverage Offerings

This spring, guests can enjoy new sweet and savory items throughout Hersheypark, including new flavors of King Size Shakes at Simply Chocolate dessert shop and the addition of Philly Cheesesteak Co. in the Pioneer Frontier area.

The full-service Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio in Hershey’s Chocolatetown region opens daily this spring with a Fun-to-Table menu featuring new seasonal items, such as a Summer Berry Salad, Pasta Primavera, Peach Upside Down Cake, S’mores Milkshake, and eight new cocktails. Reservations are encouraged and can be made at www.Hersheypark.com/chocolatier.

Milton’s Ice Cream Parlor opens daily this spring with new items including a four-scoop ice cream flight, Chicken Bacon Ranch Grilled Cheese, and exclusive spring ice cream flavors like Lemon Meringue Pie and Black Raspberry Swirl.

The Sweeterie Confectionery Kitchen is also open daily for guests craving a sweet treat such as new house-made fudge and deluxe cookies.

Spring Live Entertainment Lineup at Hersheypark

Giant Center arena and Hershey Theatre will welcome a full lineup of concerts, comedians, and Broadway performances this spring. Hersheypark Stadium’s Highmark Blue Shield Concert Series will kick off in May.

New Spring Spa Treatments

MeltSpa by Hershey day spa and The Spa At The Hotel Hershey resort spa offers sweet relaxation with signature chocolate treatments and new collections this spring.

Seasonal therapies at The Spa At The Hotel Hershey include the Milk & Honey Wrap, Milk & Honey Soak, Milk & Honey Hydrating Body Wrap, High Point Garden Manicure and Pedicure, Mojito Massage, Herbal Meadow Sea Salt Scrub, and Strawberry Hydrating Wrap.

Meltspa by Hershey also debuted a new Spring Lavender collection with various treatment options, including a scrub, wrap, immersion, massage, manicure, and pedicure.

Save on Tickets and Parking

Guests can save on Hersheypark tickets with online offers at www.Hersheypark.com/tickets. Tickets purchased online are valid on any public operating day from April 1, 2023, through Jan. 1, 2024.

All tickets include Preview Plan, which allows guests to enjoy two free hours of extra park time before closing the night before their full-day visit (if Hersheypark is open the preceding day). Guests of the official resorts of Hersheypark can enjoy three free hours of extra fun the night before their full-day visit.

Guests are encouraged to purchase a parking voucher online before a visit to save 20 percent. General parking is $20 online compared to $25 in person at the parking booth. To save on parking, visit www.Hersheypark.com/tickets/add-ons/.
