Holiday fun returns to Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin with new Santa’s Village area

This year, Santa Claus will bring the North Pole to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort with the all-new Santa’s Village area, where guests can enjoy a socially-distant, yet festive holiday experience.

On select nights starting Nov. 27, the Santa’s Village experience will give guests young and young-at-heart the chance to enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds of the holidays. Elves will host socially-distant reindeer games and adults can enjoy specialty drinks from Santa’s ho-ho-hometown in the hotel’s restaurants, take part in holiday cookie decorating, and meet and take socially-distanced photos with the big guy himself.

The full lineup of holiday offerings for this year at the Swan and Dolphin includes:

Santa and Mrs. Claus Meet-and-Greets

Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Kandy Kane, all decked out in their Florida vacation attire, will meet guests on select nights in November and December. This socially-distanced holiday photo-op has plenty of Florida flair and holiday cheer to commemorate your trip. Event dates are:

  • Nov. 27-28; Dec. 4-5, 11-12, 18-19, and 21-22

Cookie Decorating

On select nights, families can unleash their creativity by decorating frosted sugar cookies from the hotel’s award-winning food and beverage team. The experience will be arranged with special health protocols in place.

Life-Size Chocolate Holiday Santa Scene

Constructed entirely of chocolate, this life-size sculpture weighs approximately 2,000 pounds! Created by two-time world pastry champion and the resort’s exclusive pastry chef, Laurent Branlard, this sculpture will be showcased in the Swan Hotel. It features a chocolate Santa sitting in his chair; a 7-foot-tall, 400-pound chocolate nutcracker; chocolate fireplace; chocolate Christmas tree; and a chocolate toy train.

The scene will be on display throughout December and, unfortunately, is not available for tasting.

Dancing Lights Show

A musical light show will transform the outdoor causeway each evening with “dancing” illuminated palm trees and holiday tunes. Performances will occur regularly from sunset through 10 p.m.

Magic Keys for Santa on Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, children can hang a magic key on their hotel room door to help Santa find his way and deliver presents! Magic keys will be available on Dec. 24 at the concierge desk.

Deck-the-Halls Decoration Packages

Guests can order a Deck-the-Halls decoration package to extend the holiday fun to their hotel room, where elves will transform it with holiday-themed décor and leave behind a few tasty treats and a special holiday note for the kids. Hanukkah packages are also available. Advance reservations are required for this offering and fees do apply.

24/7 In-Room Holiday Movies

Families can enjoy round-the-clock Christmas cheer with a variety of free holiday-themed movies available in-room.

Rates for the holiday season start at $167 per night, and those on the Nice List can enjoy up to 50% off a second room with the code “SANTA.”
