Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue returns to Walt Disney World this summer
Get ready, y’all because the popular Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue dinner show is returning to Walt Disney World on June 23rd.
Fans who have been anxiously awaiting the return of the “hilarious, high-spirited hootenanny” starring the Pioneer Players can make reservations online starting May 26, 2022, for showtimes beginning June 23, 2022, in Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.
The frontier-style family-friendly dinner show features dancing, singing, vaudeville comedy skits, and an all-around good ol’ time – plus, a delicious meal of fried chicken, smoked BBQ ribs, savory sides, and of course, strawberry shortcake.
Since its debut almost 50 years ago, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue has been a favorite Walt Disney World dining experience for guests of all ages. When it returns this summer, longtime fans may notice a few updates to the script and scenery, but don’t fret, Disney says the spirit of the beloved show will be the same as you remember it.
Today, Disney Parks revealed a sneak peek of one of the brand-new backdrops:
“Hoop-Dee-Doo holds a special place in the hearts of many of us as Disney fans and cast members and has been creating special memories for generations,” wrote Walt Disney World Communications Specialist Amanda Watson in the Disney Parks Blog. “From my grandparents visiting decades ago to my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, husband, and children all coming together to enjoy good food and lots of fun over the years, I’ll never forget all the great moments that have been shared around rustic tables with washboards in hand. I can’t wait for that tradition for my family and others to continue when the show returns this summer.”
