SeaWorld Orlando wants you to ‘run for your life’ at Howl-O-Sprint
SeaWorld Orlando hosts the inaugural Howl-O-Sprint run on Friday the 13th. This 5K race includes thrills and chills.

Introducing the Howl-O-Sprint 5K
Guests will “run for their lives” on the evening of Sept. 13, 2024. SeaWorld Orlando bills Howl-O-Sprint as “America’s Scariest 5K.” For an added spooky touch, the race begins at the stroke of midnight, setting the stage for a spine-chilling adventure.
During Howl-O-Sprint, SeaWorld Orlando offers guests the chance to combine the scary elements of SeaWorld Orlando’s seasonal haunt event with the excitement of a 5K race. The first-ever Howl-O-Sprint is open to all participants, whether walking or running the course.
The race course features some unique opportunities for participants, including encountering Howl-O-Scream scare actors within the spooky season ambiance. Also, running through the theme park at this time of night can only be done during this event.
Post-race celebration, competition
At the conclusion of the Howl-O-Sprint, guests can enjoy the post-race celebration. This special celebration is open to all paid participants and a limited number of spectators. The celebration lasts until 2:00 a.m. at Siren’s Bar and includes themed treats and live entertainment.
Howl-O-Sprint also provides opportunities for runners to compete. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers overall. In addition, a finish line clock will show the time it took for guests to escape from the spooky course.

This event is limited to 4,000 participants. SeaWorld Orlando encourages interested parties to sign up early in case it sells out. Also, due to the scenes of violence, gore, and blood, this event may not be suitable for younger racers. SeaWorld Orlando recommends this for adults only. Howl-O-Scream tickets
Tickets to SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream are also available. The spooky event starts Sept. 6 and runs on select days until Nov. 2. This year’s event includes four new haunted houses, three new scare zones, and two new themed bars.
