Hurricane Hilary – Theme Park Closures and Updates

As Southern California recovers from Hurricane Hilary, here are the latest closure and re-opening updates.

Disneyland Resort – Disneyland theme parks return to regular operating hours on Aug. 21, 2023.

Universal Studios Hollywood – Universal Studios Hollywood is open on Aug. 21, 2023.

Knott’s Berry Farm – Knott’s Berry Farm is open on Aug. 21, 2023; Knott’s Soak City Waterpark will reopen as scheduled on Aug. 25, 2023. Knott’s tickets dated for Aug. 20, 2023, can be used on any public operating day through Dec. 31, 2023; Soak City tickets dated for Aug. 20, 2023, can be used any operating day through Oct. 1, 2023.

SeaWorld San Diego – The park is open on Aug. 21, 2023. All date-specific tickets for Aug. 20, 2023, have been extended through Dec. 31, 2023.

Sesame Place San Diego – The park is open on Aug. 21, 2023.

Legoland California – The park is open on Aug. 21, 2023. Click here to reschedule dated tickets for Aug. 20, 2023.

Six Flags Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor – Closed Aug. 20 and 21, 2023. The park will reopen as scheduled on Aug. 24, 2023.

Pacific Park at the Santa Monica Pier – The Park is open on Aug. 21, 2023.

The Hollywood Bowl – The My Morning Jacket • Fleet Foxes concert on Aug. 20, 2023, was rescheduled for Aug. 28, 2023, at 7:30pm. Purchased tickets (including parking, shuttle, and park and ride tickets) are valid for the new date with no action needed. For other ticket options, including exchange, account credit, donation, or refund, please contact Audience Services at [email protected]. Park facilities will be closed on Aug 20 and 21, 2023, including the Hollywood Bowl and The Ford.

Los Angeles Zoo – The zoo is closed on Aug. 21, 2023

California State Parks and Beaches – California state parks and beaches in Orange County and San Diego County will be closed Aug. 20 and 21, 2023. Inland state parks in the path of the storm, including Cuyamaca State Park, Ocotilo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area, and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park will also be closed. Los Angeles Parks – L.A. City recreation and park facilities will reopen today at 12 noon (or after they’ve been assessed and are cleared to reopen). Pool facilities will reopen at 3 p.m. All recreation programs and clinics are cancelled for Aug. 21, 2023. Click here for the latest information on closures.

San Diego Parks – All San Diego city facilities will be closed on Aug. 20 and 21, 2023, including libraries; recreation centers and swimming pools; beaches; regional, community, and open space parks; and the Torrey Pines, Balboa, and Mission Bay golf courses.
