‘I Like Scary Movies’ interactive art installation brings horror films to life

This spring, experience your favorite horror films come to life with the limited-time “I Like Scary Movies” art installation coming to Los Angeles, Calif.

UPDATE – 06/06/19: The “I Like Scary Movies” pop-up has extended its run through July 14! Guests now have a little extra time to experience this unique horror exhibit.


From April 4 – June 16, this interactive activation will feature Warner Bros. Pictures’ and New Line Cinema’s most iconic scary movies, including the first chapter of “IT,” “The Shining,” “Beetlejuice,” “The Lost Boys,” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street.”

I Like Scary Movies is a unique opportunity for fans to interact with the films they love in a brand-new way with fun photo-ops that can be shared with friends.

“Sink” into the famous carpet from the Overlook Hotel in “The Shining;” wander through Beetlejuice’s graveyard; enter Freddy’s boiler room from “A Nightmare on Elm Street;” and revisit “The Lost Boys” on the way to Pennywise’s lair from “IT.”

“Our goal was to create an experience where fans could take their time to engage with the fantastical worlds of scary movies that have shaped their fandom,” said Maximillian, the experimental artist behind the activation.

“We want them to be able to take a deep creative dive into some of their favorite movies in a way that is fun, engaging, artistic, and memorable, allowing them to really explore and enjoy the thrill of it all.”
