Walt Disney Imagineering is giving guests a new way to wait by removing the line completely at one redone attraction. In the new dueling Dumbo ride in the Storybook Circus area of the new Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom, guests will enter a big top tent into an open “queue” area where they will wait their turn while kids play with interactive elements and enjoying the sights and sounds of the big top.
In the video below, watch as Anne Kelly, show producer for Walt Disney Imagineering shares details about the new interactive queue:
The interactive queue will offer both an air conditioned sit down area for adults and rope climbs, trampolines and other fun play areas for children.
Guests will be offered a circus ticket pager similar to one patrons get while waiting for a table at a restaurant. The pager, pictured below, will light up and Timothy Mouse will tell guests when it is their time to ride, allowing them to enjoy the air conditioned big top in the meantime.
The second spinner of the dueling dumbos along with the big top tent will open in July.
